HUMAN: Causes substantial but temporary eye injury. Do not get in eyes or on clothing. Wear safety glasses. Harmful if absorbed through skin. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. ORAL TOXICITY: The oral LD50 of this material in rats was greater than 5000 mg/kg. No lethality occurred up to 14 days after a single, oral treatment of 5000 mg/kg.
INHALATION TOXICITY: The inhalation of this material in rats was greater than 5.48 mg/l. No lethality occurred up to 14 days after a 4-hour exposure to 5.48 mg/l mist.
DERMAL TOXICITY: The dermal toxicity of this material in rats was greater than 2000 mg/kg. No lethality occurred up to 14 days after a 24-hour exposure to 2000 mg/kg.
SKIN IRRITATION: This mixture was classified as a mild irritant to rabbit skin. Erythema and swelling occurred at least 72 hours after direct application for 4 hours in rabbits. Skin appeared normal 7 days after treatment.
EYE IRRITATION: This mixture was classified as a mild to moderate irritant to rabbit eyes. Iritis or redness, swelling and discharge in the conjunctive occurred for at least 21 days after direct application in rabbits.
SENSITIZATION: This mixture, tested as a 75% dilution in water, was classified as a non sensitizer in guinea pig skin. No adverse reaction or sensitization occurred in guinea pigs used to test for allergic reaction or sensitization (Modified Buehler Test).
