SECTION 12. Ecological Information |
|
ENVIRONMENTAL FATE: Linalool volatilizes from
water surface with a half-life of 2.4 days in
rivers. The Koc in soil is estimated to be 75 and
it is expected to be highly mobile in soil.
Half-life in air expected to be 3.8 hours. It is
not expected to adsorb strongly to sediments. It
has low potential for bioaccumulation. Permethrin is stable at a wide range of pH values. Has a moderate rate of degradation in soil and half-life is related to soil type, microbial population, concentration in the soil and the aerobic condition of the soil. The Koc is 86,000. There is little potential for movement in soil or entry into ground water. The Log Pow is 6.1, but because of the ease with which biological systems ECOTOXICITY [Active Ingredients Only] Linalool Acute Toxicity: Fish: LC50 (trout): 13.0 ppm. Invertebrate: EC50(Daphnia pulex): 42-53 ppm. Aquatic plants: NOEC (Chlorella pyrenoidosa) : >1,000 ppm. Permethrin Acute Toxicity: Fish: LC50: 0.5 ppb to 315 ppb. Aquatic arthropods: LC50 1.02 ppb to 7.6 ppb. Pyriproxyfen Acute Toxicity: This product is toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. |
SECTION 13. Disposal Considerations |
| Waste Disposal Method | |
|
Do not puncture or incinerate! If empty: Place in
trash or offer for recycling if available. If
partly filled: Call your local solid waste agency
for disposal instructions. Do not contaminate food, feed, or water by storage or disposal. Improper disposal of excess pesticide, spray mixture or rinsate is a violation of Federal law. Use according to label instructions. |
